Hi!

My name is Tanuja and I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon. I specialize in play therapy with children (ages 6-10), struggling with anxiety, or those experiencing social, emotional and behavioral challenges. I also prioritize parent engagement, offering training and support for optimum benefit.

Other areas of focus include supporting adult individuals healing from early attachment related trauma, those undergoing life transitions including postnatal care and relationship stress.

My experience working with couples, families and individuals has focused on fostering understanding and healing, through exploration of challenges within significant relationships. This might look like struggles with a significant other/partner, peers, colleagues, supervisors, siblings, parents or extended family members. Relationships are a cornerstone of our well-being. When we don’t take the time to nurture them, or work to understand how our early experiences shape us and our current behaviors, we are likely to continue to experience emotional roadblocks, which typically result in difficult relationship dynamics and interpersonal challenges in the present. Taking the time to explore, be curious, repair and heal, can empower us as individuals to be our true selves, despite the chaos and stressors of every day life.

As someone who identifies as a Millennial, I can whole heartedly say I understand the challenges that we have been faced with over the past 25 years. Amidst ongoing changes in technology, social media pressures and an ever changing and divisive political climate, I truly empathize and share in your experience; add a full time job, parenthood (also a full time job!), and the complexities of relationships in life, it is absolutely understandable that you might find yourself here, ready to ask for help.

Please visit the Specialties page on my website to determine other areas of concern that I both enjoy and have experience with.

I am also a recent Breast Cancer survivor. This is a diagnosis that seems to be quite prevalent in society today. As a Mom of 3 young children, working full time, with no genetic history indicating the possibility of this journey, please know I understand the unexpected trauma, emotional and physical rollercoaster of this illness and its associated treatment. I empathize with anyone experiencing this challenge firsthand, as well as those supporting a loved one facing it. I would be honored to hold your hand through that experience, as many did for me.

If you find yourself feeling overwhelmed, are in need of support, someone to listen, validate and join you in this journey of healing, growth…or maybe just survival (!), please reach out for your free 15 minute phone consultation today. I would love to hear your story and come along side in supporting you in meeting your goals.

Thank you for visiting.

Sincerely,

Tanuja
