Meet Tanuja

Hi! My name is Tanuja (she/her). I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in Oregon. I enjoy working with adult individuals and have experience with couples and families.

I am dedicated to helping individuals learn how to begin healing through self-exploration and curiosity. I am passionate about helping others understand what prevents them from achieving the change they desire.

I value a collaborative approach, counseling from a place of understanding, trust and non-judgement. I focus on the needs and values of the client, which I believe contributes to building confidence in the therapy process, as well as in feeling empowered in meeting your goals.

My hope is to create a therapeutic environment that feels respectful and safe, and one in which you feel accepted and hopeful about sharing an experience that can lead to meaningful change for you.

I draw from various modes of therapy, including Object Relations Theory, which explores the ways in which early relationships/experiences influence our current patterns of behavior. Other styles of treatment that I incorporate are Attachment-Based Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems and Narrative Therapy.

When I’m not practicing therapy, I enjoy spending time with my family. I am a Mom of 3 young children who keep me busy! When my kiddos don’t have my attention, I enjoy spending time with my partner, connecting with girlfriends, binge watching a show, going to concerts or reading a good book. I am also a recent Breast Cancer Survivor, and feel so honored to support anyone going through something similar.

If you are looking for support and guidance related to challenging circumstances, or you’re ready for change and feel this may be a good fit for you, I look forward to our work together.
